Exercise Develops Self-Discipline and Self-Confidence

Exercise teaches students they have the ability to make goals and accomplish them. Hard work is the only way to see results in fitness which is also true for all aspects of life. Exercising as a student will set the foundation for the rest of their life in teaching them self-discipline and increasing their self-confidence. According to Mayo Clinic, “meeting exercise goals or challenges, even small ones, can boost your self-confidence. Getting in shape can also make you feel better about your appearance.” When kids see improvements as a result of their work, it leads to motivation to keep going which will then lead to self-discipline and lastly self-confidence in their ability to be disciplined.

Exercise also develops self-confidence because it teaches the student that they have control over their actions and their bodies. In order to succeed in physical goals, it is mandatory that one makes a plan and executes it to obtain that goal.
